95 and going strong
September 28, 2011
St. Brigid Church celebrated the closing of its 95th anniversary year with special Masses on Saturday, Sept. 24, and Sunday, Sept. 25, The social ministry of the church held a reception following the Masses, and parishioners were invited to write notes to be included in the church's 95-year anniversary time capsule, which will be buried at a later date near the anniversary tree, planted earlier in the spring. The time capsule includes souvenirs and photos from each of the special events held during the year. Now starting the church's 96th year, the anniversary committee is already looking to plan the church's 100th anniversary, which will be held in 2015. Insider photos by Beth Hurd
